Caring for Colombia (CFC). It is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization recognized under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code.
CFC was founded in New York in 2003 to be a trusted bridge between U.S. donors and grassroots, high-impact initiatives in Colombia.
CFC is proud recipients of Candid’s Platinum Seal of Transparency and work with more than 130 allied organizations across 24 Colombian departments. Since 2003, we have mobilized over USD $5 million, supported more than 400 projects, and directly benefited over 41,000 people.


CIEV (receives donations in Colombia from CFC)
The Inter-Union and Business Committee of Valle de Cauca (CIEV) was created in 1993. Today, the CIEV brings together 34 guilds, 7 chambers of commerce representing around 12,000 companies from different sectors in the region.
The Committee identifies and coordinates efforts, promotes initiatives and defines positions with the aim of improving the competitiveness and productivity of the region and the quality of life of its inhabitants.
The CIEV guarantees the transparent use of contributions with a rigorous control system with World Bank-type methodologies and the experience of Forec in 1999. It will use external audits, and real-time control with georeferencing tools, dashboards and monthly reports, visible on the website.
